The distinguished
panel of judges included Jamie Oliver, Sophie Grigson, Darina
Allen, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Clarissa Dickson Wright &
Raymond Blanc to name but a few. Their votes are much appreciated.
This is the second time Truuuly Scrumptious has received Soil
Association Awards in two years and it reinforces Janice Fisher
and Topsy Fogg's belief in providing the best possible food for
babies and children.
Every pot
of Truuuly Scrumptious baby food is prepared, cooked, packaged
and labelled by hand. Janice and Topsy believe the personal touch
makes all the difference and this good-enough-for-grown-ups food
is rapidly gaining recoginition as a real alternative to the factory-produced
supermarket brands.
Janice, a
former sales executive and mother to Callum and newborn Jack said,
"We're delighted that the Soil
Association has recognised the superior quality and taste of Truuuly
Scrumptious food again."
Her business
partner, Topsy Fogg whose children Maisie and Archie are chief
tasters, agreed, "This award
demonstrates what Truuuly Scrumptious is all about... providing
a tasty, organic and premium
alternative to mass-produced
food."
The pair met
at ante-natal classes and started the business in response to
the lack of convenience products for organically-aware mums. In
just two years they have increased production from 15 kilos a
day to over 100 kilos a day, thousands of pots each week.
